About Tunki

- A sample of Tunki coffee grown by a farmer in the Cecovasa cooperative of Peru was awarded the 2010 “Coffee of the Year Award” by The Specialty Coffee Association of America (SCAA). There were over 130 submissions representing 22 countries at this year's competition. In addition to receiving this honor, Tunki was also highlighted with the People's Choice Award, which is determined after SCAA Exposition attendees taste and vote upon the winners.

- Since that competition, the farmers at Cecovasa are being recognized as pioneers in the farming of organic coffee in Peru. Of course, not all Tunki coffee is grown by the farmer who won the prize - the brand has existed for 5 years as a collective effort, uniting hundreds of families and many farms within one specific area of Peru.

- The farmers at Cecovasa depend on coffee sales to sustain their efforts to maintain eco-friendly farming practices, and to support their families. We're proud to support them in their mission as we offer this exceptional coffee to our customers in the US.

Shipping Information for Online Orders

As a small, family-run business, customer service is our top priority. Most orders ship within 24 hours. Orders received between 4 pm on Thursday and through the weekend will ship by noon on the following Monday. We use Priority Shipping, and will send a confirmation e-mail when your order ships from our warehouse.
